We found that having a caravan for 11 years allowed us to have more holidays than we would normally have had , but gave the kids a sense of freedom they would not have had , it also allowed the kids to make friends with other kids from around the country. We would recommend owning your own caravan, we did not have to pay for a holiday in 11 years - we sublet our caravan to allows us to pay for the running costs.
